I have been playing poker off and on for a few years now, in brick and morter card rooms. I recently started playing online just for kicks. I have read a lot of what has been posted on this web site and others concerning online play and I just need some clarification on a few things. Some of the comments on this site imply (or come right out and say) that online card rooms do not shuffle the cards randomly, like a true shuffle. It is also stated that one can get an advantage by becoming friendly with the cardroom office personnel. I also read that some accounts are "pre-destined" to be losing accounts regardless of how they play. This is a bit disturbing if it is all true but I am not really convinced either way. Can any of you assist in this dilema by offering whatever insight you might have or educated opinions concering online poker. Any comments will be greatly appreciated.

So I'm playing in a SNG Turbo, been getting dealt absolutely nothing all game (is there a Zero card, because I think I actually got dealt a couple!), won a couple of small pots with stone bluffs, but generally hanging on by the skin of my teeth the whole game. Fine, whatever. Next thing you know, blinds are 150/300 and I'm sucking wind at 1290 chips, my effective M (for those of you who read Harrington) is less than 3.
