Anyone watch this? Pretty funny stuff. Some tough guy blew a 19:1 chip lead heads up. He's chugging beers, ordering shots of vodka and tequila, and talking a lot of smack.

Then after he loses a big hand he requests a bathroom break. As its slipping away he tries to order a water. "Can I get a water? WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET A WATER AROUND HERE?" Pretty funny seeing a tough guy turn into a pussy.

Borgata Open Stories Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version

Anyone down at the Borgata? Saw BTW but didn't get a chance to talk. Playing in the $300 game the first day but just couldn't connect on anything. Played the $250 super satellite for the $5000 game on Friday and just got no breathing room and all my good cards were in the first 5 minutes. Aces, no pay off on a light raise, K's, no pay off and then went card dead on a donkey table where laying down ones cards means killing your mother first it seems, so bluffing goes out the window.

11th in the Friday Big Game Borgata Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version

Well, I had a decent fun in the Borgata Friday $75K guaranteed tournament. Went out 11th and one from the final table of course out of about 389 players. I got AA and KK once the entire night but both paid me big time. Had A/10 and got a straight against a set of 9's the other guy slow played and allowed me to catch up.

Big lay down of the night. A/Q on a flop of Q/J/10. I had raised and got one caller. He is small blind and gets to act first. He puts out 40K in chips and I'd have 75K remaining but I'm way behind, I can feel it. I tell him, nice flop on that two pair and fold my cards face up. He turns over his Q/10 suited for two pair.

With 4 tables to go, we're in the money and I'm shoving the small and big blind each time it comes around to me on the button. I was playing a lot more aggressively, One because I had the chips, and two, I had position. With 13 players, left, I went seriously chip dead and stole the blinds twice around for $50K each time by shoving for my remaining 80K, but the final round, 2/4 became my best friend 4 times in a row and I just don't have enough chips to hurt an all in, so I suck it up and cash for $1500 but yes, I wanted more. The final hand, I had 9/7 against AA. Nothing to do but wish everyone the best and see you next week. Top was $33,000 but I needed a lot more love for that to happen.

I'll be in the $500K guaranteed at the Borgata next week. This is a three day tournament. 30K in chips and 50 minute rounds. We'll probably see $1,000,000 in the pot.

Stinky Gambler at the Borgata Ejected Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version

Ok, so 17 hours of rough play after a hot day in the limo can do that to a person.

And he gets lucky again Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version

Well, I got lucky in yesterdays Borgata Satellite to their super satellite event next Sunday. Saturday the wife and I drove down and ate at the new Jap Restaurant "Izakaya".

I enjoy Sushi and try to eat it whenever I can. The wife and I ate there on Saturday before the Eagles show. If I said, everything was great, I'd probably be damning the place with faint praise. The chicken wings were amazing, the scallops and crab legs were amazing. Just everything was perfect. Of course the Sushi was excellent also but I had so many samplers that by the time I got to the sushi, I was full. The Sake lemonade by the Carafe should be tried. There just isn't anything that wasn't excellent on the menu. The place is a pub. It looks great. The food portions are small and almost sampler in styling so order two of everything. I'll be back next Saturday for a return trip.

On Sunday, I played the satellite which takes you to the Super Satellite. Winners of that one get $30K in tournament entries and cash. I did satellite in and probably came in 50th out of 63. I wasn't trying to win the thing, just place which I did. The best hand of the game was me holding Q/K off in the big blind. One raiser in late position and the small and I call the raise for about 8000 in the pot. A flop of A/QQ looked great to me. The raiser leads out for 5000. Small blind calls and I pop it to all in for my remaining 11000. The raiser folds and I get called with a/8 and my Q's hold up for the turn and river. Then the table breaks and I move to table two. I play one hand the entire time when I shove in the small blind with A/Q. If short stack in the big blind calls me, I know I'm done but he folds showing 3/9 off. We are now hand for hand with three to go before we all cash. The final out was a heart breaker for the bubble boy. With only one 5000 chip and in the big blind, (3000/6000/1000), the dealer mucks his cards for some reason and the player doesn't see it in time and the tournament ends. I can only imagine the screaming but I heard nothing so it was an odd ending.

The Borgata is having another satellite for the event on Saturday. Cost is $220.00 and one in five moves on. It's a very donkey filled event and only took 5 hours to finish.

I'm back next week and I'll let you folks know how I'm doing.
