Poker Stars & Wireless

Does anyone use a wireless connection with Poker Stars? If so, what router and internet service are you using? Since I am unwillingly updated my home system, I'd like to find a way to use PS without plugging in. Thanks.

MK,
I use PS with wireless. My router is NETGEAR - but I don't think that matters. My Internet service is Cable. I get a great wireless connection -56K. The key is to get the high strength router - I think it is G, which is 56K. Your new laptop should have G installed on its end.

Hope that helps

personally i prefer the SMC High Power series equipment. It's G standard based (54Mb) and has replaceable antennae so if you do have a signal problem somewhere in your house you can get boosters. It tends to be a little more expensive than the other brands but it is also a quarter to a third more powerful out of the box. BTW, 56k is standard modem speed and is not fast, for service if you can get either Cable or DSL go for the cable. Typically the cable will run somewhere between 3 and 4Mb where DSL is typically 512k for the entry level service. (4Mb is 8x faster than 512k)

I'm in an airport lounge in Europe and fired up Full Tilt on my laptop with the wireless access to make sure it would work. No problem.
I would think that PS would also work, but I don't have that installed on my USB drive.
