Harrah's Purchases Binion's

http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/040112/leisure_binions_1.html The WSOP may not be in jeopardy. If Harrah's is serious about re-opening the casino, "...as soon as possible..." then the tournament should go off as planned.

	I agree also...the legend of Benny Binion and the history around the Horseshoe is definitely good for poker...and I think tons of people in the poker world and around Vegas will be happy to see the place operated under better management...I hope they keep the Binion's name. [ Reply to This ]

	From the LVRJ's article on the purchase: Buying Binion's Horseshoe gives Harrah's two strong assets, Thompson said [a spokesperson for Harrah's], referring to the Horseshoe brand name in Nevada and to the World Series of Poker. "Our expectation is that the World Series of Poker will go on this year," said Thompson, although he couldn't say whether the event would be held at the Horseshoe. 	So after reading a few different articles, they all say that Binions is expected to reopen asap. I am wondering how soon that will be? I dont have any knowledge of how the game and control board works and how fast they are willing to move this a long. I am heading out there in about a month and am wondering if my favorite poker spot will be open by then. Any thoughts or opinions? [ Reply to This ]
