The Bay 101 Card Club in San Jose, CA, has just joined the WPT. Their yearly "Shooting Star" tournament will be increased to a $5000 + $200 buy-in tournament to be taped just before the PPM cruise departs in March, 2004. Matt Savage will again be the tournament director. When Matt came by my table Monday during the first round of the Bicycle WPT and told me that the tournament will be capped at 200 entrants, I handed him my buy-in on the spot. The tournament is guaranteed to sell out, so if you want to play, get your seat early! (I'm not even sure if there's been an official announcement yet, so I apologize in advance if some of the information is wrong or if I've jumped the gun.)
